The Social Good Summit is a three-day conference hosted in New York by Mashable, the United Nations Foundation, Ericsson, the United Nations Development Programme, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation at 92nd Street Y. There, big ideas meet new media to create innovative solutions and when you’re talking about making innovation accessible, you’re speaking our language. Held during UN Week, from September 22-24, the Social Good Summit unites leaders to discuss: the power of innovative thinking and technology to solve our greatest challenges. The most innovative technologists, influential minds and passionate activists will come together with one shared goal: to unlock the potential of new media and technology to make the world a better place, and then to translate that potential into action.

Such aspirations leave us wondering how new technology and new media create solutions from our own back yard and Stephen Vogelpohl and Ruben Cantu are bringing together many of Austin’s leaders during Social Good Summit – Austin to solve that question. Presenting panels by Austin’s leading social entrepreneurs and a workshop where you can meet the people who need new media and technology solutions the most, Mashable’s Social Good Summit comes to Austin September 24th.
